The design process

We create an inspirational, interactive, stimulating and cohesive environment by following a rigorous design process.

The design process:

Client brief - From an initial consultation this focuses on the client's requirements, aims and objectives and identifies the budget for the project.

Site survey- A site survey is the recording of all the data required in order for the designers to produce detailed scaled drawings of the area.

Site analysis- This documentation includes observations of the site highlighting functional, practical, aesthetic and legal issues.

Presentation plan- The initial ideas or concept for a scheme set out in a drawing and or report.

Design development- When the main concept is agreed the design can be developed into a full working project by assembling:

  • Schedules
  • Construction drawings (if needed)
  • A landscape specification
  • Layout drawings
  • Tender documents
